Why NSSA?

2008 Graduate Student, Jason Koppe
Jason Koppe obtained a BS in Applied Networking and System Administration (ANSA) in 2007.  While in the undergraduate program, he worked in the NSSA department labs, was a member of the winning team of the 2007 RIT McAfee Day competition, and was a President of the RIT Italian Club.  Jason worked as a Junior System Administrator for Xerox Corporation in Webster, NY to fulfill one of his co-op requirements.  In 2008, he was awarded a DoD Information Assurance Scholarship (IASP) allowing him to pursue a MS in Computer Security and Information Assurance (CSIA).  While in his graduate program, he was the captain of the RIT Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition (CCDC) team.  The RIT team won the northeast competition and placed fourth overall in the national competition.  Jason completed his master's thesis titled, Differential Virtualization for Large-Scale Dynamic Computing Environments which proposes an alternative laboratory preparation solution. He is moving to Washington, D.C. to pursue a career with the Navy's Space and Naval Warfare (SPAWAR) Systems Center as an Operations Research Analyst in the Network Support Branch.
