Projects Lab

The Projects Lab provides students with their first experiences in PC hardware fundamentals. Additional classes in this room create wireless networks, perform wireless troubleshooting and advanced network troubleshooting. In these courses, Students build, tear apart and troubleshoot PCs and networks. They may configure ad-hoc wireless sensor networking, create server and network environments, learn to secure their networks, run and terminate network wires and create topologies and site books. The lab holds twenty student benches with three 3.4 GHz computers and a hub on each bench. Additional equipment in this lab includes: A room server, Cisco AP’s (10), Bridges (10), Wireless Antenna’s, Extreme Black Diamond Router/Switch, Nortel Router/Switch for student configuration and use and a Cisco 6506 Router/Switch for imaging and network connectivity.
