Networking Lab

The Networking Lab provides students with their first experiences in computing and analyzing data traffic. Twenty student benches reside in the lab. On each bench are three 2.4 GHz PCs, a Cisco 2514 and Cisco 2621routers, one 2950 Cisco switch and two layer 1 hubs. Students can configure the bench in a number of different topologies to generate and capture traffic while implementing diverse network scenarios. Two network racks each hold a Layer 3 network switch for routing and switching, rack mounted hub and a Token Ring Mau. An additional rack maintains the room server, 2 PBX (white box) servers, 2 (white box) RAS Servers and a wireless access point.
