Undergraduates at RIT may select a minor as part of their course of study while at RIT. .Minors at RIT are a thematically related set of courses consisting of no fewer than 20 credit hours. Completing a minor leads to a formal designation on the student's baccalaureate transcript. The purpose of the minor is to broaden the student's college education therefore the minor must be in a discipline other than their major degree program. Our students' skills are in high demand throughout all segments of our society and they may use a minor to complement their major gaining knowledge in the domain in which they intend to work.
